1. The full impact report, not the infographic. Download the carbon PDF and locate the scope: datacenters only, travel, hardware purchases, third parties? Infomaniak reports for example ~3,800 tCO₂-eq in 2023, mostly linked to servers. That level of detail is rare — use it to compare with a competitor that only displays “green”.
2. PUE, but also ERE and ERF. PUE measures building efficiency. ERE (Energy Reuse Effectiveness) and ERF (Energy Reuse Factor) show what share of consumed energy is reused — for example to heat a neighbourhood. Infomaniak has openly said PUE alone is no longer enough given the climate emergency. If a host cites only PUE, they are choosing the most flattering indicator.
3. The scope of carbon neutrality. Does “200% neutral” mean only direct datacenter emissions, or also machine manufacturing, employee travel and vendors? Infomaniak documents these items. Another “neutral” host may compensate only socket electricity — a huge gap in an ESG audit.

Infomaniak controls its fleet, its energy mix and its cooling chain. It does not control:
