Non-negotiable principles

last_reviewed) appear on each sheet - What is not public or verifiable is not invented (no fictional support SLAs, no made-up certifications)
The six dimensions

Indicative weighting
For French-speaking projects, sovereignty, support and real 3-year price weigh especially heavily. A technically strong host that is opaque on jurisdiction or renewal cannot earn a high overall score.
Dimension scores are out of 10; the overall score is an editorial synthesis consistent with those dimensions — not a blind arithmetic mean.

- Public host documentation and pricing pages
- Legal notices / DPAs / location policies when published
- Certification directories (when the scope is identifiable)
- Account trials or support contacts when possible and relevant
- Cross-checks against equivalent European offers
Review cadence
- Sheets show a Data reviewed on… date
- Major pricing or certification changes trigger a priority update
- Blog posts expose
dateandupdatedin their metadata
Limits (read before you decide)
- We do not run a full security audit of every platform
- Measured performance varies by exact plan, region and load
- A certification (e.g. HDS) may cover only a product scope: always verify the SKU
- Prices change: confirm on the host’s site before signing
